I take exception to that. I visited England in the Spring of 1980, as a 15 year old boy. I found where my ancestors lived near Bridgwatter, Hutton & Uphill, Weston Super Mare. Sorry if misspelled. I visited a church that had a pew with my family name on it, though none of my family had sat there for generations. Two of my older brothers have the family coat of arms tatooed on their flesh. Our pride in family heritage runs deep. I would post a copy of image of family coat here, but file is too large.

We have a saying here in Texas, "Never ask a man where he is from, because if he is from Texas, he will tell you soon enough, and if he isn't, you wouldn't want to embarrass him." All due respect for my friends...I didn't write that old adage, I just repeat it with the pride of a 100% Texan.

I wholeheartedly disagree.
Having done a bit of research and participating in National Geographic genetic survey, I found out that I was partially wrong. The whiteness cannot be denied. According to the genetic data, my pre-historic ancestors were among the second group to migrate out of Africa into the central Asian steppes (the first being those whose genetic markers are found in coastal India and among the Aborigines in Australia) and then headed for Europe.
On the other hand, my last name supposedly comes from d'Oilli (and the various spellings) which would mean I descend from Norman blood.
That may explain why I'm such a bastard!

That's my percentage as well!!

It doesn't really matter I was born in S.A, since we're a country of immigrants..besides, people don't buy I was born here. I get asked all the time where I'm from :/ According to my mother it's the fact that we lived in the States when I was so tiny...my accent is weird. (in every language :P)

No, I am so white I am blinding. Of my four lines, two came to the "new world" when they were given land by the King. So I think of myself as about American as it gets.

Before that, all four of my lines came from Yorkshire in England (Beverley and Hull with a few other little towns thrown in there). I have my family traced back to that area as far back as the 700s.

so if i get this straight, you're English-American? or are you part Scotch as well?

My paternal grandmother was born in Scotland, but she is the only one in my entire history. All of her siblings and her parents were born in England. So I don't really consider myself to have a Scotch heritage.

I'm pretty white aswell. I'm English, Welsh and Irish. My mum's entire side is English and Welsh and came over to Canada in the 1890's I think, and settled in the Toronto area. My dad's dad side came from Ireland in the 1830's during the potato famine and settled in quebec, and my dad's mum's side came from Ireland in the 30's and also settled in the Toronto area. I'm very pale, with reddish-blonde hair and blue eyes.
