Donnie Darko rerelease
i'm a big fan of Donnie Darko, has anyone else seen that movie. it wasnt a hit when it first came out but now they are rereleasing it, the director's cut in theaters again this summer. i think it's already havent in the UK but not the US. if u've seen the rerelease, any comments (is it just the deleted and extend scenes from the dvd) and did you like it? or if you've seen the movie at all?

yeah it's worth watching...though there are parts that are a little hard to understand (time travel, Frank the rabbit) but just go with the flow, it's more about the message.
i think the rabbit scares just about everyone...i was reading entertainment weekly around 1 am and i turned the page and there was a full page picture of the rabbit face. scared the shit out of me. turns out the magazine was doing an article about the rerelease and how it's a cult film.

Saw it at Best Buy the other day...I thought about getting it because of Jake Gyllenhaal, but then I saw the freaky looking rabbit thing, peed my pants and left it on the shelf. I bought Star Wars instead.

The rabbit wasn't scary, I thought it was funny. Great movie, I really liked the whole time travel thing with the wormholes and stuff.

okay, but i'm still freaked by it. it is a great movie and has tons of stars in it, for a indie/low budget movie. wonderful music too, Mad World song, but too bad they dont have a soundtrack cd for it

I actually saw this movie on HBO, but never really paid close attention to it. I am planning to buy it on DVD but not anytime soon. I'm waiting for the final release, I don't want to buy the version out now then later find out another is about to surface. Hate that.

*5 month bump*
So I bought Darko for $10 at Best Buy last week. And after watching, I was really really really confused. Then I read the Philosophy of Time Travel, which is actually one of the DVD features. Then it all started to make sense. Overall, it's an interesting movie. The only thing that pissed me off is that my dvd always freezes on a certain scene...fucking Best Buy. |
