It's the London Film Critics nominations. Not sure where the official source is from though. Keira, Matthew Macfadyen, Brenda Blethyn, Rosamund Pike, Joe Wright, Tom Hollander, and Pride and Prejudice are all nominated.

Keira's Oscar chances has faced it's first major blow as she was snubbed by the Screen Actors Guild in their best actress nomination.

This doesn't mean she's out of the race but it is damaging beause most years the Oscar nominations are matched exactly to the SAG ones.

Lets keep our fingers crossed that the oscars buck the trend and let Keira in.

When Hugh Laurie won for House, I thought she might have a shot. Hollywood Foreign Press...she's foreign...**crossed fingers**
But alas, biopics and confused sexuality carried the night.
It had to be kind of an awkward moment in the casting process when the producer called Felicity Huffman and said...
"We think you'll be perfect for this role."
"Really? What's it about?"
"Transvestite. You'll be perfect...er...I mean I don't think you look like a man."
"A transvestite? Why not call Nicolette Sheri..."
"Definite Oscar possibility."
"I'll do it!"

Keira is not nominated for the BAFTAs, but "Pride & Prejudice" got 6 nominations. The Oscar seems to fade away...
