Let's talk about the Bond movies. I've just started to watch them (for the first time) and I think, so far, they're fantastic. I only got as far as Goldfinger, though, and Thunderball should be arriving tomorrow.

Anyway, what are your favorites of the mythology? Who is your favorite Bond? Bond girl? Has anyone read the books?

Having just finished Goldfinger I consider that movie my favorite. I even prefer Guy Hamilton over Terence Young as director. Goldfinger is so immensely entertaining. Great story. Great action. Great characters. Great women.

Dr. No was very good. I didn't care too much for From Russia with Love.

I prefer to Pierce Brosnan for James Bond.I think He is a good actor.
Roger Spottiswoode's managed well studio actions.I was witness it at "Tomorrow Never Dies".
Besides,I think the best bond girl who was Xenia Onatopp(Famke Janssen) played in GoldenEye.She was very hot and sexy.Xenia used sex as a weapon and like it.

I recently watched the entire bond films again. Dr.No through thunderball are awesome. Stay away from on his majesties secret service it is almost a B movie. The Roger Moore films are somewhat good, particularily Man with the Golden Gun and view to a kill (best villains).Living Daylights is allright but liscence to kill sucks. Hasselbrad may like it for the hasselblad camera that becomes a rifle but otherwise crap. The Pierce brosman ones are good but I just could not bring myself to like die another day.

Exactly. Connery is Bond. No1 else can really match, he made the role. Although i think Daniel Craig did really good at starting it all over again in Casino Royale. I think that was probably my fave. But out of the older ones, it would have to be any1 with Sean Connery. All of them were great.:icon_smil

I haven't seen Casino Royale yet, so I'm witholding judgement on Daniel Craig in regard to the other 'lesser' Bonds, but Connery was magic.

As for the films, I love Dr. No, Thunderball and Goldfinger.

I loved every Bond film. All the actors had their strong points.
Daniel Craig was awesome, a more believable Bond
Pierce Brosnan was very cool
Timothy Dalton, my least favorite but I did like the movies
Roger Moore had the best villians
Sean Connery was a classic

Just finished You Only Live Twice. It's the worst Bond film I've seen so far. The ninja's are terribly corny and the script is really poor. Lousy editing too.

Her Majesty's Secret Service is next. I must admit that it's going to be an ackward transition to a different Bond. But I'm a bit optimistic.

i looove the james bond films but yer casino royale the most! daniel craig was fantastic! i also thought the rest of the cast was really great.... eva green, judi dench ect ect
