A British amateur scientist (oxymoron?) has supposedly captured footage of the Loch Ness monster. See it here.

What do you reckon? Is this Nessie? Is there a Nessie? What is Nessie?

I feel the same way here I think no one will ever really prove nessie exists.

I don't know how I feel about the truth of Nessie, but I know that Scottish newscasters are the only Scottish people I can understand.

With the repeated sightings, wouldn't it be awesome if something was actually there? I don't know particularly much about doctoring videos, but that one looks real enough to my eyes.

The video definatly shows something, but it's always a case of whether it's a set up or not, and even if it isn't, then what is the thing moving, if it's even alive.

I'd think Nessie would be dead by now if it did exist...I mean seriously, if it's an ancient dinosaur.....or did they live for like thousands of years?

hreh, its a good point though. If it was one creature the whole time, it was first reported in AD 565, putting its age at at least 1442 years... plus however old it was already in 565.

Maybe that's why the sightings are so few and far between...Nessie is so old, she has to spend years recovering from her trips to the surface...must be tough on those 2000 year old joints and bones

I think it's a few of those. That would explain the sightings over such a long period of time.

There are a lot of critters (alligators, crocodiles, sharks, etc.) that are leftovers from millions of years ago. And didn't they recently (as in the last few decades) pull some fish with an unspellable name out of the ocean that had supposedly been extinct for millions of years?

well the bbc did a sweep of the entire lock.. and found nothing... not even a big rock.
