German-speakers?
Is there by any chance someone on this forum that can speak fluent/near-fluent german?
(I don't mean someone that can say 'hello', 'goodbye' and 'table for 4 please'.) Preferably someone who has lived there so they know the language well. I just want a quick check over some GCSE work. I'm not expecting any responses, but I guess there's a chance someone will be kind enough. |

I'm not fluent by any standards. I lived half an hour from the German border all my life so I've been there a bit and I understand the language, can watch German TV etc., but I haven't actively spoken or written it for too long.

Well, I'm just visiting Germany at the moment and I must say, that even though I've been learning it for five years and I understand it more or less, but I can't speak it at all! My German teachers were all poor.
