My boyfriend, the Pittsburgher calls it pop. I hate it. It's just "coke" down here (which is incredibly stupid, I know), and occasionally "soda."

Brand-name is the least confusing least gay way. "Pop" is for kids, "soda" is for brats, "fizzy drinks" is almost as gay as "pop" and "coke" doesan't cover everything, although it's the best out of the cunt-load you lot have mentioned.

If you call Dr Pepper's, Dr Pepper's, if you call Coke, Coke and Pepsi, Pepsi, noone's confused. Although I did have a stupid American barmaid in New York get confused when I asked for "Brandy" and she said "I don't have Brandy, only Cognac". You fucking retard, Cognac is a sub-class of Brandy!
