I was going to quickly boil the kohlrabi, and have it with a Dutch meatball and roast potatoes. Alas. Oven no workie. Stove no workie. The meatball is leftover from a big batch I made, so I could have microwaved that, but a dinner of just meatball doesn't quite do it for me.

Whiny bitch was out with a kidney stone.
Sissy.

The mother of a lovely family I'm friends with passed away yesterday evening after an 18 months long battle with cancer.

My heart breaks for the lovely people she leaves behind.

It's not really a today's unhappiness, but I have a very kind heart and I suffer from it. I try to not make people upset, I can't say "no" if a person asks me for help... It's a trouble for me.

No no, you're doing this all wrong. You have to tell him to break a leg. Both legs if he must

Been a little depressed the past two days. about a week ago, my friend from Boston (girl I'm in love with, you may remember if you're taking notes) and her friends visited. It was awesome, and her friends are very cool and we all had a good time. They left on Wednesday so now I'm left in my city with no friends. It's incredibly boring; all i have to do here is go to work. I have no plans ever on my days off.

But I see some good in being bored because it makes me really eager and excited to move to nyc. Because meeting new people is more fun than I remembered.

EDIT: Also,

Hey Jen, that sounded not fun, but I wanted to ask what they prescribed for anxiety? Because I would suggest not taking anything for it. I mean, obviously, I don't know you well and maybe it'll work out for you, but I'd recommend not using it. I went to the doctor's specifically for anxiety over the summer and it kinda fucked me over for a while. They prescribed Xanax which is very habit-forming, and i didn't take it much. Then they prescribed Prozac which just made me feel lethargic a bit, and just slightly constantly depressed.

Basically what I'm trying to say is, if you don't feel like you need the stuff, don't take it. Everyone gets nervous. You just have to find your own way of getting through it. I wish I didn't make a big deal of it this summer because now it's something that I carry around with me all the time. But since I've given up on the meds, it's a lot more gratifying making progress on my own. But again, it's up to you on that stuff.

the pill the woman perscribed me isnt addictive. it just helps the chemical balance in my head.

My anxiety is usally me being around people, and being afriad to leave the house to go hang out with people, and just sitting in a room with a few/lot of people. She said it'll also help my public speaking, and I wont be terrified to speak in froont of people.

and theres some more things it'll help me by, but thast the major part i want to be fixed with.

This is yesterday's unhappiness, but it bleeds into today, so sue me.
While taking a shower yesterday, the water rose to my ankles. About the time I start really hurrying to get done, the water suddenly rushes out, so I'm thinking "good...that's taken care of itself".
Well, about ten minutes later, I go downstairs to check on some shit in the dryer to discover we have a new water feature.
In the middle of the living room.
From the ceiling.
And, in a place that really doesn't make a lot of sense.
It's in a wall between a bathroom and a bedroom, but all of the plumbing is on the other side of the bathroom.
We put buckets under the leak and went to my mother's for Easter dinner. No way is a leak going to stand between me and her lamb chops and squash casserole...and it had stopped dripping. We sure as hell weren't going to call a plumber out on Easter Sunday.
So we get to my mother's house and we're there about ten minutes when Marcia's phone rings. The number isn't displayed, so she figures it's her needy friend Heidi and lets it go to voice mail. When she listens to the message, it's not Heidi.
It's her credit card company.
Someone tried to make four purchases at a Safeway grocery store in Sacramento, California. So now, she's had to cut up those cards and wait for them to change her account.
Today, the plumber comes out and declares that he can't find anything wrong with the plumbing. He filled the shower base with water...let it go...nothing.
Flushed the toilet...nothing.
Which means, I took a shower at the kitchen sink this morning for...nothing.

My poor Lexie-bear hurt her paw.

she was sitting on our chair in our back yard that swings/rocks. and when my dad opened the door to let her in, she jumped down, and to be none graphic and disgusting lets just say: not all of her claws jumped down with her body...

My dad didn't see so when she came in blood was all over the floor, and he had to look for her,

She didn't even haller.

i spend about 2 hours holding her down while my mom clipped the dirt and fair off her foot, so we could clean it. It was awful. Breaks my heart to see my babies hurt.

This is Lexie, and the chair/swing that got her.

Lexie's a tough lil'squirt.

Yesterday's unhappiness:
I had to go help my mother pick my grandmother up off the floor. She's almost 89. This is not the first time she's fallen, but the remarkable thing is that she never manages to hurt herself. No broken hip...nothing.

Today's unhappiness:
I think I've caught the crud Marcia's been incubating all week. I'm taking Zicam, which is supposed to lessen the length and severity. I hope it works.

Today I'm really unhappy because I was sitting in school today, writing on my school essay about Anne Frank, and then something happend to the computer and I had to log off, I know that that kind of things happens sometimes, so I had saved it at regular intervals, and I thought that I just had to re-write some of it, but now, when I was supposed to continue with it, I dicovered that the whole thing is gone, I can't find it anywhere, and deadline is TOMORROW!

I hate blondes. I mean real ones. A girl from my group took my writing-book to make some copies from it for herself. I've been writing there a lot of translations of the different texts for my Translation Study since the term/semester has begun. She should go immeadiately somewhere and left my writing-book where guards sit and wrote me a message on the phone to tell about that. When I came there, I found nothing what was mine and nothing what was similar to the writing-book. So tomorrow I should hand in this writing-book with nearly 20 translations but I have not it. I hate blondes.
