Screenplays
Alright, this may sound very very stupid, but let's just take a look at it. Imagine you're a screenplay writer, going to write a screenplay for a new film which Keira's the main actress. So, post all of your ideas for screenplays here, for any kind of film at all. Well, you can post porn as well, as long as the storyline sounds.

parts are not written for actors. actors are cast into the parts.
else the story suffers because you have to fit the character to the actors personality. ...that and the fact the actor might not want to play it after you've gone to all the trouble of writing your wonderfull screenplay.

I have finished one with a young English woman who is an assassin. When I started writing it, she was the "model" for the main character and the male lead was Jason Lee. Now, the actor I have in mind is John Krasinski.
Other than that, the other (5) screenplays I'm working on don't really have an actor/actress "attachment". Writing that way tends to limit you too much.

just post a copy to yourself through registered post. that way, if someone contests the copyright, you have a datestamped sealed copy.

Yes...yes it does. But, a WGA registration only costs around 30 bucks for non-members.

It makes a mockery of copyright that you have to pay to register it, when unlike trademarks or patents, copyright exists the second your creation is created. All you need is proof, registration doesn't "give" you copyright. Posting it to yourself is perfectly legitimate, all you need is any proof of date that proves you wrote it first.
Technically you do already have copyright Playboy. Not sure if posting it on a dated forum counts as proof, though, because the dates on the server can be changed. |

You can thank our litigious society for that. ![]() Sandra...I'm not really sure about foreign screenplays, but you may find the answer here. There's also a link on WGA East to WGA West. http://www.wgaeast.org/ As far as posting it to yourself goes, by the time you factor in the weight of 90-120 pages and the return receipt ass-gouging the USPS is going to give you, it makes registering through the WGA a wash. And, if you have either Final Draft or Movie Magic, you can do it electronically.

Oh no, you're right. The WGA registration is the best route. It's just an absolute mockery that you have to go that way
. It's morally wrong |

Batman Begins? I think she just wants Keira to be in the next Batman movie which is the Dark Knight. But yeah, that Catwoman movie was sooo bad. Keira couldn't fill out that leather suit.
On a more related note...i guess. Alex Tse's script for the Watchmen sucks. David Hayter knows how to goddamn write but their probably gonna go with this shitty Tse script and ruin not only another Alan Moore movie adaptation but one of the greatest books ever written.

All right, so no screenplays, no details, just ideas. Post about what kind of film, made or in your imagination you would like Keira to be in.
