Desert Island Flicks
Desert Island Flicks, the top ten choices of movies we'd want to spend the rest of our days with. These are the films that take you to a happy place, that you can converse with, gain security with... movies that will keep the seashell from slashing your throat. These are not necessarily your favorite movies, but the ones that'll keep you alive and cheer you up on that lonely island. found this on a movie site..
-fear and loathing in las vegas... with all the time i have on that island, maybe ill be able to understand this movie and its craziness. -south park: bigger longer and uncut... this is one of the funniest movies ive seen and its my favorite cartoon [simpsons doesnt have a movie] -dawn of the dead [either one]... watching this, ill know that im better off than they are. plus its awesome -POTC... can give me hope that there is hidden rum on the island...and keira of course. -big trouble in little china... i loved this movie since i was a kid, and lo pan rules -Jaws... stop me from doing something stupid like trying to leave the island. plus it is a classic. -Monty Python and the quest for the holy grail...It is impossible to be in a bad mood watching this movie. And, if I'm stranded on a deserted island, I'm going to need to smile. -Rounders...never fails to bore me. -Pulp fiction...At least once a day I wish I could create dialogue this cool. -Swept Away... To remind me that although I'm stranded on an island, things could be worse, so very much much worse. close to making the list was cast away, in case emergency dental procedure is required. |

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original.)
Pulp Fiction (You don't need a reason.) The Fifth Element (... Milla Jovovich... and it's funny.) Halloween (I need at least one slasher.) Reservoir Dogs Kill Bill (A little Uma for my downtime, besides it's Tarantino.) Grease (Need a musical, and this is the best one.) PoTC (Had to have a Keira film, and this is it.) The Graduate (Dustin Hoffman is the only person I understand.)

Swingers (I find Favreau's comedy from this movie just slightly wittier than Kevin Smith's movies, and the lines are it are horrendously good..."you know, business class: big ass, can't fly coach")
Rounders ("If by the first hand you don't recognize the sucker, then you ARE the sucker"...just watching that movie terrifies me in playing a hand at the hold 'em tables, if ever I were at the Taj) Roman Holiday (no better on-screen couple than Hepburn and Peck) Monty Python and the Holy Grail (masterpiece, 'nuff said) The Road Home (mainland Chinese movie...Zhang Ziyi in her big debut, where she shows off that she can truly act without saying a word) The Princess Bride (it's a classy movie...don't knock it) Notting Hill (cuz Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts have one of the greatest romantic chemistries in all of filmdom) Once Upon A Time In China, pt. 2 (Hong Kong movie...the fighting scene with Jet Li and Donnie Yen is simply superb) Saint of Gamblers (Hong Kong movie...funniest movie out of countless many that Stephen Chiau Sing-chi has done) Clerks (first Kevin Smith movie, best Kevin Smith movie)
