You're welcome. The no netspeak rule is probably one of the more fundamental ones, because the point behind that and the avatar/sig ones is to avoid becoming a shittified website like most fansites do.

Spam/flaming is often cited against me but although I'm easily the worst culprit, I'm hardly the only one, so it's known that there is a slightly lax attitude to that rule.

Multiple posts of the same thing or failure to use "edit" or the search function are all minor offences. But the textspeak, signature and avatar ones are fundamental if we want to make this place different from the vast majority of fansites out there, and make it a premium, high-quality website.

It's not exactly like I said anything that bad to him either. Nor was what I said even particularly directed at this one individual, but the serious spate of people who just utterly ignore the common sense of reading the rules of a new forum you've just joined.

I don't deny I break the rules, and I get punished for it, but I at least know what they are and I'm happy to take the consequences of my actions.
