So, anyway....
I just finished the new Zelda, on the Gamecube. It was amazing -- epic in scope, and with a great story and variety of new items. Took me 73 hours of obssessive gameplay to finish, 100 percent. My only complaints are lackluster music and, like Wind Waker, it was a little too easy. 9 out of 10. Now I'm playing Okami, on the PS2. I'm 19 hours into it, and it's very impressive. Very much like Zelda, and featuring gorgeous graphics. I urge any PS2 gamers to give this one a chance. |

I always had an eye out for Okami because my friend was obsessed with it before it was even slated for a US release. I'll buy it when it gets low in price.

I wanted to get a Wii, but I recently had to buy a new car, and now money is incredibly tight for me....
How is the Wii? Got any other games besides Zelda? Personally, I would like to try Elebits. |

I rent games from Blockbuster, though. I still have to grab Elebits, it looks nice. The Wii is incredible. I really think Nintendo did everything they expected to do with this system. People who don't have the system are weary of how the "gimmicky" controller style works, but once you play it, you're hooked. It's nice that they're not pushing graphics, also, because I really think we've hit a graphics saturation point with the 360. I mean, the PS3 is a lot more powerful than the 360, but you can hardly tell a difference in graphics, so where does that leave us for the next xbox and the next playstation? People expect videogames to eventually just have graphics that look like real life, which will never happen because they can't naturally get that good. I think they're the best they'll be right now, and this puts Nintendo in a nice spot because they've realized this, and are innovating the gaming style and being one step ahead.

I agree on the graphics thing...to an point....
A friend of mine managed to obtain a PS3, and just a few minutes of playing around with it gave me a hint of what's in store for gaming over the next few years. The PS3 is an amazing machine. Once the TRUE next-gen games start coming out for the PS3 (six months or so from now), the Wii will probably suffer. By the way, I picked up Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin for the DS with some Christmas money. It's great. I've spent a lot of downtime at work playing this one. I'm also now 40+ hours into Okami, and it keeps getting better and better. |

NWN2 is nice. I've played it a bit but I have the same trouble as I do in WoW - too many alts. Getting close to getting my second level 60 character now, hopefully I can get there before BC hits (and/or beat Leonie there
Apart from that I've only really been playing IL2:1946. |

Pirate servers are dog shit.
My friend recently cancelled his subscription and played a pirate server for a while, but *everyone* on the server was wandering around in T3 epics with hands of rag or thunderfury or atiesh. Pirate servers take any sense of accomplishment or challenge out the game. My mate resumed his legit subscription again today. |

I ordered Dark Cloud 2 off of Amazon the other day....
The first Dark Cloud was probably my favorite PS2 game, and I'm told the second one is even better. I can't wait to play it...if I ever finish Okami. I've passed the 55 hour mark with that one, and there's no end in sight. I should try my best to enjoy Okami while it lasts, though -- games like this don't come around very often. I'm also hoping to find a good RPG for the DS when I finish Castlevania. Destroy All Humans is also on my to-play list now. Anyone know if it's worthwhile? |

I heard that the new Starcraft has had so much hype that most fans'll be pissed off when they actually DECIDE to release it.
Anyway, I've been playing NFS Carbon because I finally got the ISO working and its aaweeesssome! Its like Undergrouind and Most Wanted combined with kickass graphics.

Call Of Duty 4
Amazing. Absolutely brillo-pad. Top notch. I've been a fan of all the COD games, but this one's definitely the best. Using all the sick modern weapons, providing air support, everything's flawless. If you get stuck in one mission, just when you think its impossible to finish a random air strike'll clear the way. I'm not usually one for the single player missions in FPS's but I found myself totally engaged. The multi-player platform has the potential to overtake Counterstrike as the game of choice, and thats a big call since I'm a CS: Source addict. Pretty much the best game released all year. Yes, better than Bioshock.
