Photoshop desaturate is my friend.
Although I love the grain of Tri-X...

the lock picture is great... did you crop it? you should've cropped it to the rule of thirds, make it a lot better.

the fence picture is really good too... you should employ the "diagonals are dynamic" principle to it... make it even better

I'm partial to Ilford. I need to see what I have laying about. Then I need to see where I can get some schwarz und weiss developed around here. There used to be a rental darkroom but I think the digital revolution scuttled it.

If you're an ilford fan, England is the place to be... the camera/photo lab just across the river from me loves their Ilford film.
Of course, darkrooms are easier to find here in London due to condensed population, helped by the fact that the English seem to like holding onto the traditional.

ahhh... i love ilford film.

tho i have to say that right now i really wanna try out the new fujicolor pro 160C. i used to use fujicolor NPS exclusively for color and ilford XP2 super for black and white (C41 process). i used a variety of things for the D76 process... depended on what i needed.

anyone try the fujicolor pro 160c? let me know how it compares =D

Sorry, just looked like Frank's parents' place. Dunno why.

To be fair there isn't much garden in it and the garden furniture is pretty generic.

Still, don't know why but it looks familiar...yet I've never been to Soton. Weird.

I'm with Cara, the colour one is better. Like all good photographs it has that "painting" quality to it. From a certain angle and distance it looks like a Photorealistic painting.

I know what you mean though, colours etc which seem almost unreal.
