Does anyone ever look at Keira's message board at the Internet Movie Database?
It's so negative, it drives me crazy. Have any of you ever attempted posting there, and been driven away, as well? The nastiest people, with the shallowest opinions...I want to smack them.

And it's actually not just Keira's board. Everyone over there seems to be generally nasty about everyone. It can make you feel quite discouraged.

What it comes down to is that the IMDb boards are for unbiased discussion (good or bad), they are not fan forums. Plus the fact that people who object or find fault with something or somebody are usually more vocal than those who support it. Most of the messages on IMDb now are just negative posts countered by positive, defensive posts. You could spend the rest of your life doing that - I used to do it but it's just not worth bothering with.
If someone has a genuine query I can answer I will do, but apart from that I scan the boards for a few seconds each day and that's it.

But really, Paul's right. They're a waste of effort, unless you happen to come across that lone intellectual, but those people usually steer clear of the Keira board.

I was there for a while but I didn't enjoy reading crap so I left. Still read it once in a while though to laugh at all the idiots.

I had an interesting experience at the IMDB today....

Someone with the username "KeiraK1985" showed up at Keira's board, and started posting, claiming to be her. The only other people on there at the time were myself and another HUGE Knightley fan, Bruno. Here's the weird thing: this person was almost kind of convincing. At the very least, he/she knew what had happened at the Goldderby.com live chat with Keira a few weeks ago. I dunno, it was almost CERTAINLY just some jackass impersonating her, but I saved everything he/she posted...just because...well, just because it will probably be deleted if an administrator sees it.

The whole thing made me feel weird.

There's a simple way to know what happened on the chat, either the person was there or he/she read the transcript on keiraweb. I don't think she was Keira, when would she get the time to visit IMDB? And that's another thing, IMDB of all places.

I used to speak with Nightlee-whatever on a regular basis, actually. I'd talk to her/him/it about their latest appearance on Letterman, and ask how the family cat was -- humored them to the fullest. Then, one day, I asked him/her/it what their middle name was and they said they didn't have one, I "lol"'d and said, "BUT WAIT! IT'S CHRISTINA!! ANY DIE-HARD KEIRA FAN/STALKERRR SHOULD KNOW THAT!!!!"

And I never saw them sign on again.
