Sunshine! I would've probably called this one of my favorite movies if it weren't for the shift to horror movie status late in the film. Other than that, I thought the acting was good, the concept was interesting, and the execution was effective (up until the end). Danny Boyle is awesome (still need to see Trainspotting but I liked Millions and 28 Days Later).

I got dragged to 10'000 BC with Boyfriend and realized: when I have zero expectations going into a movie, I like it better!

True. I think I would've enjoyed Juno more if it weren't for the hype and the high expectations.

A Bridge Too Far- A brilliant film filled with memorable lines. The only thing that hindered it in any way was how often I found myself looking at the cast members and thinking where have I seen them.

The Darjeeling Limited- A classic Wes Anderson film. The films quirkiness was barely perceptable as you watched the film. The characters where well drawn out and very enduring. Though like all of Wes Anderson's films it has the awful side affect of making you think and worry about your future. All in all a very good movie.

Across the Universe- A charming and well directed movie. It was interesting to see Eddie Izzard whereing less make up and flat shoes, as well as Bono as a redkneck. The movie reminds just how amazing the beatles were at writing music, with scores timed perfectly to follow the right momments. It also had a unlooked for negative side effect; meaning it made me quite lonely after watching it. This movie is highly recomended for anyone who likes musicals and/or the beatles.

Seen Carrie last weekend. Really old movie though. I guess it was supposed to be a mild horror or something, but it had me laughin the whole way through it lol

Just got back from seeing 10,000 BC.
Wasn't sure what to expect. I was hoping it'd be good because I liked the idea of a film set 12,000 years ago but then read a review saying it was as historically accurate as the Flintstones.
It was either that or 'Semi-Pro'
It wasn't too bad. I gave up believing that it was realistic when the main character talked a saber-toothed tiger out of eating him. And me and my friend came to the conclusion that they clearly had make-up, shavers and colgate back then.
The bad guys rode horses and reminded me of the Easterling from LOTR and there was a woman that reminded me of the big-boobed Alaskan woman in The Simpsons Movie.
Mind you, Camilla Belle is a pretty good-looking cavegirl.
And surprise surprise, it ends happily...
I wouldn't exactly recommend it but it's better than most of the crap that's out atm.

Just finished "Atonement". Loved it. I also watched "I am Legend" and "Blood Diamond". Three very good movies one after the other.

Embarrassingly, the only one there that I haven't seen is Atonement...

La Vie En Rose
Holy shit. I'm glad Keira wasn't up for the Oscar...she wouldn't have deserved it. Marion Cotillard was out of this world. I didn't think Tilda Swinton deserved it for supporting actress, but Cotillard deserved the hell out of it.
I don't remember who won for make up, but this movie should have if it didn't.

I had the opportunity to see this movie on TV but I forgot about it Well, next time.
And yes, it won the Oscar for make-up.

Semi-Pro
Better than I expected. A lot of the same old gags from Will Ferrell, but it was still pretty damn funny. A lot of the humor comes from the little asides and not necessarily the big punch lines.
Also saw the preview for his new movie with John C. Reilly called Stepbrother. It looks hilarious.

If the credits on IMDB are correct, they're making another one.

I saw a trailer for the new Madagascar when we took my nephew to see Horton Hears a Who.

It looks just as bad.

She is not Keira, why would she sign up for a fan site about herself ? She just wants attention! besides, Keira lives in England and not L.A
