I just watched Stephen King's "The Mist"
I love almost all of his work, books and movies. But this is his best in a long time. Basically a monster movie with alotof thrills and interesting plot. It has religious fanatics in it and shows you what would happen if these people ever had power. I loved it.

Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang
Really an interesting film, but then, with Robert Downey, Jr. playing a small time crook and Val Kilmer playing a character named Gay Perry, how could it not be? Shane Black wrote and directed, so the dialogue really pops. Dark humor throughout, but always counterbalanced by a touch of silliness, especially when Downey's character is narrating. The cinematography is gorgeous. Downey and Kilmer are fantastic. Highly recommended.

As is Val Kilmer. Great role for him. This was Michelle Monaghan before hooking up with Tom Brady, correct?

You're thinking of Bridget Moynahan, mother of Brady's kid. Michelle never dated Tom Brady AFAIK.

Kiss kiss bang bang was quite good.
I recently watched No Country For Old Men, It was brilliant. The ending left most of the people expecting another O'brother where art thou pissed off but that was to be expected. It is gritty tense and realistic, very good. If you liked fargo you will love this.

Jen has the best taste. I'd be in love with her if it weren't for the big boobs.
Having said that her taste being what it is she'd tell me to go fuck myself. |

Superbad
Super funny. Mindless gutter comedy, but sometimes that's where the funny comes from. It resonated with me because of the genuine nature of the humor. These characters were people I have known throughout my lifetime. The woman at Blockbuster told Marcia it was stupid and unfunny. Makes me feel like going in and saying, "no...you're stupid and have no sense of humor." One of the previews on the DVD was for Walk Hard - The Dewey Cox Story. That looks funny as hell.

Material Girls. Shallow girly movie. 4/10
Miss Potter. Sweet and charming. Used to read the Potter books when I was young so it was really nice to watch it. 10/10 Marie Antoinette. Fun and as girly as it gets. I feel sorry for this young girl and If I'd live in that time period I'd wish I was her friend. All those dresses, shoes and hair. Except, I find it strange that they would dust their hair in flour to make it white. I love this one. 10/10!!!!!!!! |

I saw Atonement last night. Super good. I think I like the book better, but for anyone who has read the book and seen the movie....I think they did an awesome job fitting as much of it into a movie as they did (and so well).

I finally got to watch "I am Legend". I guess is was good. My girlfreind liked it and it went by fast which I guess that means it was fun to watch. Will Smith pulled it off and at times it was scary to watch. My problem is that I read a screenplay by Mark Protosevich, which was way better. It went into great details about the disease and how it got started. And the Infected were able to plan their attacks, in the movie they're mindless brutes. If you like this type of movie(like me) you will probably enjoy it.
Next on the gotto see list is "Alien vs. Predator: Requiem", opens Christmas Day

Did you read the book before seeing IAL, Ran? I did, and I'm hesitant to see the film-after reading a scifi.com interview with Willie, it sounds like they butchered the shit out of the book...

I never read the book, but like I said I read another screenplay that was way better than the movie. I'm sure the book is way better aswell. The movie left a lot of stuff out. I was looking at a IMDB thread and someone suggested that they should have made the movie 45 minutes longer and added the missing details. I couldn't agree more. But like I said I you like this type of story you will probably like this movie.

Sat through Underworld. It was passable.
Then watched Underworld: Evolution. Pure shit, possibly the worst movie I have ever seen. Time to rinse my eyes with True Lies.
