It was pretty good, I liked the 3rd and 4th better though.

I got to see Fantasic 4 Rise of the silver surfer . I liked it, it was as good as the first one.

With regards to to consistency of the book itself, how well does the movie follow the source material? I realize that the book is around 850 pages, so quite a few things got the axe, but I'd just like to know how much the movie kept intact from the book.
I think my family is seeing it tonight, dunno if I'll join them

Well I liked the 5th book least because it dragged on wayyy too long so I was looking forward to the movie in that regard.
It does follow the consistency of the book, the final fight scene in particular is extremely well done.
The only bit I'm sorry they cut is the whole Snape/pensieve bit but hey, you can't have everything.

Underdog! they made unerdog into a movie. I use to watch underdog when I was real young. We had it on vhs tape. I just saw a comercial for the movie. I think they have gone to far with the super hero theme in hollywood

Smokin' Aces
From the reviews I read of this film, I was expecting a complete rip-off of Tarantino films. It wasn't. Sure, there are similarities. It's bizarre (at times), its multiple character's stories overlap and it's loaded with hitmen armed to the teeth, but it wasn't some cliche' ridden, pop-culture reference encyclopedia. The characters were well developed and the story didn't have any major holes in it, which is difficult when you have so many characters.
The strength of the film, however, was in the ensemble cast.
Jason Bateman was hysterical. Ben Affleck was actually not bad, and he gets killed pretty quickly.

I saw Perfume: Story of a Murderer last night and it was even more bizzare than I thought it would be.
It was incredibly dark but pretty interesting and the length didn't bother me when usually I get bored around the 1 hour 45 minute mark. Dustin Hoffman is a great actor but is not very good at concealing his voice. It seemed weird as a man from Paris in the 1700s.

It was a good movie though.

Big Nothing
Interesting film. Not what I expected. Rather dark, but funny nonetheless. It was strange hearing Simon Pegg speaking with an American accent, but even as a Yank, the man's still a funny sumbitch.

I know...I loved that movie, even though I'm a fierce Dracula fan and absolutely hate when people aren't faithful to the book. Actually...I hate it when all book-based movies aren't faithful.

I watched Little Women last night.
Man, it's been ages sice I saw that one...I always cry when Beth dies, she was my favorite character in the book (for the simple reason that she shared my name.)
The best perfomance has got to be little Kirsten Dunst's. "I haven't even been kissed! I don't want to die before I am kissed!". Haha, and she ends up with Christian Bale. Lovely.
Jo was played quite beautifully by Winona Ryder. Though for some reason I never really liked the actress...meh, I'm warming up to her, after watching Beetlejuice and all.

Oh, and, Jake: You've got to read the book before you watch that movie, otherwise it doesn't make any sense and is more than bizarre. It pains me to think how many people despised that movie!! if only they'd just read the book...
I loved the book and certainly loved the movie, it was amazingly done.
Btw, Dustin Hoffman's character was Italian, hence the weird accent.

I saw Ocean's 13. It was much better than the 12 because it was less complicated, less sentimental, and back in Vegas. And that fictional CGI hotel looked so real. If I hadn't seen Vegas before, I would've thought it was part of the strip.
