That's cool. You can 'perform' on my banana any day. Was that too subtle? Cus I meant my penis when I said banana. I saw Grindhouse and it rocked. I loved both movies, though they were very different. Planet terror was more true to the subject, I think, at least by how they described the Grindhouse. It was fast, gory, gruesome, and was filled with one-liners and over-acting. Death Proof just seemed like a regular shorter film. It was a dialogue-heavy car movie with a likeable badguy. Lots of people are saying it was too slow, but I think the dialogue and build-up is necessary. I liked Death Proof a bit more, actually.

You mean you want me to dream up other things for us to do?
I'm just kidding with you. My penis is mine and no one else can touch it. Hey fellas here's a tip! Is your girlfriend trying to pressure you to take it to the next level? Well here's a hint. Next time she goes for a touch downstairs slap her hand and say, "nuh uh, no touch. I ain't no ho ho." [/tim and eric awesome show joke] I saw Straw Dogs and it wasn't as good as I was hoping. The ending was bizarre but I didn't feel like there was enough build up to it. Also, Dustin Hoffman's wife in the movie was a bad actress. She had a nice body, though. So it's okay.

The Children's Hour....
Audrey Hepburn and Shirley McLane run an upscale school for girls. One day, they're accused of being lesbians. Keep in mind that this movie was made in 1962. Incredible drama, and it's amazing to think of WHEN this film was made. Every so often, I'll get a classic film (like this one) that shows up from Netflix and, invariably, I postpone watching it for several days. Almost as invariably, however, these movies turn out to be among the best I have received. This is a great little lost gem, if a little slow at times. 4 out of 5. |

Comes as no shock to me. The two political jokes they used in the trailer are older than me. Well, the same sex marriage joke isn't, but it's been beaten to death by every hack comic working Wednesday nights at the Funny Bone in Cedar Rapids for the last few years.

As a hack comic who's worked Wednesday nights at the Funny Bone in Cedar Rapids for the last few years, I take issue with your implying that I'd made jokes that bad....

My apologies.
Please tell me there isn't really a club called The Funny Bone in Cedar Rapids. I just pulled that out of my ass.

back on topic and bringing this back to life...
Perfect Strangers. I thought it would suck, really, but to my surprise it didn't. It managed to keep the climax, rather than suspense; up the whole time, without becoming boring or nerve destroying. Pretty good. Oh, just a note....I don't recommend it for a date. Or anything romantic for that matter. My friends and I left the theatre with a weird unsettling feeling, it makes you quite paranoid. :icon_err:

Stranger Than Fiction
Good. I really enjoy watching Emma Thompson act. I really liked the premise of the film and thought it was pretty well done.
