Although nothing's official, 'Pirates of the Caribbean: World's End' has appeared as a title on the web site of co-star Marty Klebba:

It may just be a working title, but the cast do now have their scripts, as Keira said recently on the Good Morning America interview.

I don't like that title. I don't think it matches the other two, and it doesn't sound pirate-like...

It´s probably not armageddon end of the world, just the end of the world like whoops where did the sea go and so it would be very pirate like don´t you think?

To be honest, both sequels are going to have to be pretty special to stand up well against their original. Get busy praying/wishing/not caring, really.

The writers have confirmed it's one of several working titles along with Calypso's Fury and Uncharted Waters, but now they're in the public domain they'll probable use none of them. I'm sure there are coasters, mouse mats, key rings and posters with the World's End subtitle already, such is the nature of bootleg merchandise today.

Dead Man's Chest may not refer to an actual chest, either. The name (referred to in the Treasure Island song) was a codeword for a rendezvous island in the Caribbean where pirates would meet up for a kind of 'Pirate Con' get together every once in a while.

Filming is due to resume before the end of this month in LA, followed by an 80-day session from the end of the hurricane season on and around Grand Bahama, where the Black Pearl is already berthed and attracting plenty of attention.
