Has anyone heard about the 3-disc POTC set that's scheduled for release on November 2? A lot of the online retailers have it available for pre-order now for about $20.

Shit, ANOTHER EXTENDED-EDITION DVD! I hate how marketers make us wait 6 months for a movie, only to put out another, extended-edition cut of the same movie after x amount of time after we bought the original! LOTR, Star Wars, Hellboy, and now Daredevil are having extended cuts come out(don't EVEN get me started with the $80, 6-disc Matrix super, ultra uber pack hitting this December), for $30 and up. Thank God, King Arthur will have it's deleted scenes/shit cut out from the original right out of the box this January.

Well, I am pretty annoyed about the 3-disc set coming soon... I already own 2 copies (one unopened) of the normal, 2 disc one... And that had a reason. But do they really think many people will shell out again, for a film which already has a critically acclaimed and one of the highest grossing DVDs of the past year?
At least with LOTR there was some warning of the flashy, suprerior release- which meant I was able to wait until later for the aforementioned superior DVDs. But, even if we had all known about this new 3-disc-jobby; would we all have waited for it? I doubt it- I know that I wouldn't have been able to wait just under a year for it... I was so desperate for it that when my pre-order was about 1 week late, I went out and bought it in the shops. Needless to say, my pre-ordered one arrived about 3 days later, but I don't care because at the time I had to have that DVD, and the pre-ordered one came in a snazzy box... ...So, will I buy the 3-disc super edition? Not unless it has about 4 times as many extras and special features, all new. And even then, I'd have to wait untill it was at least half-price. But, when it comes down to it: It'll be cheap to buy quite quickly, I reckon, because of the limited amount of people who'll rush out to buy it. Don't worry, when I'm a film-maker, I won't screw you guys over if you like my film.

I'm just going to burn the 3rd DVD, since the other 2 are apparently the same as the ones we bought on December 2nd of last year.
Yep, say it, I'M A CHEAP BASTARD.

Well, I just finished watching/listening to Keira's and Jack Davenport's commentary on the movie, and found it hilarious. Keira acts like, dare I say, a little girl, in the commentary

Yeah, I actually just watched that commentary like... two days ago.
I found it quite humorous as well.

Yes. I've watched all of the commentaries, and theirs is by far the most enjoyable. They have great senses of humor. Davenport's a riot. So is Keira.
Johnny Depp's is nearly inaudible.

Yeah, I found it funny whenever Keira complained about Johnney Depp upstaging her. It's a riot.

There was a part in the commentary during the film, when Keira and Johnney are marooned on that island, and how there were sea shells all in the sand, and both would swear when they stepped on one. If this wasn't a Disney movie, I would bet money that a couple shots in the blooper reels would have this in it
