Fav. Actors/Actresses and Directors

There's a similar thread already like this in the Keira Girls forum but I want it in here, and this time I'm also adding directors. I'm compiling my list at the moment so I'm just starting this thread now to get it going until I return.

I've returned. Look below.

I hate that I mostly love mainstream actors. I actually have fewer of everything else.

My problem with Scarlett Johansson is that I haven't seen any good films from her yet. I mean, I hated 'Lost In Translation' and disliked that Spongebob Movie (seriously, it sounded nothing like her). The only good film I saw from her was Ghost World, speaking of Ghost World I can't believe I forgot Steve Buscemi. Amazing talent that Steve.

I also forgot to mention Chris Walken, Giovanni Ribisi, and Brad Dourif. I conclude I love many actors.

Scarlett is overrated, I think. I, personally, have yet to be really "wowed" by her in anything. Bill Murray stole the show in Translation, not her, and I have found her to be rather mediocre (or slightly above average, at best) in everything else (Horse Whisperer, Man Who Wasn't There, Ghost World, Pearl Earring, Perfect Score, In Good Company, etc.)

People have been calling her the next "it" girl forever, but, in my opinion, she still hasn't found that "it" girl role yet.

Anyway, I can't believe that I forgot Gary Oldman! Thanks for reminding me, Brad. What an amazing and versatile actor.

Richard you haven't seen any of her movies then! I hated - strongly disliked rather - Lost in Translation as well. The reason I like Scarlett is her unapologetic, focused and determined personality. She's forbiddingly tough and knowing, yet that seems to mask a softer core. She's cool and detached - necessary for someone both young and in the entertainment industry. You'll see her in that "it" part.

Ohh, I know I will. I really like her, as a person, but she just hasn't made me take notice of her acting ability ... yet.
