Christmas trees
As the clock ticks towards midnight in my house, towards the big day, I thought it'd be quite nice to get fully into the Christmas spirit and maybe share it around. I noticed some people wishing each other a Merry Christmas, and of course, the same goes for me to all of you, even though I hardly know you (doesn't hurt, does it?).
On a similar note I thought it'd be quite nice for us to share pictures to get us in the Christmas mood, possibly a bit late given it's the big day tomorrow but what the hey?! I was thinking a thread of Christmas tree pictures would be nice, very Christmas-y and likely to get even the most ardent scrooge in the mood. So here's my effort (Sorry it's a bit blurry). There's only one present because this was taken straight after we put it up, before the rest of them were put under it: |

If I get a digital camera tomorrow (probably won't happen) I'll share some holiday joy. *crosses fingers*

That's a small ass tree. No worries, I have an even smaller one up and lit as we speak.

I'm with Jacoby. I'm hoping there's a digital camera under one of our trees tomorrow....yes, there are two...if there's a camera, I'll detail that story.

I haff the digi-cam. Huzzah.
The Large Tree (For our family): This was after all the unwrapping. The Small Tree: This tree is for all the extended family/friends. Not too many presents under it because we already did the exchanging. I'll take pics of all my presents and shit later.

Just for the record, my entire family received a grand total of two wrapped Christmas presents. Both of which are gifts my mother received from work - those cheap Danish cookies we never finish (we still have a canister left over from last year), and Macy's brand of Chocolate covered Pretzels.
Not only are we loved, we don't give a fuck either. By the way, what a bogus television set you got there Jake. Nice presents too, whatever the hell they are I can't make them out, I hope you die from amusement.EDIT : I don't feel like posting this in the Happy Holidays thread.

I like your main family tree Jacoby. Very nicely decorated. It's huge too. Christmas isn't that huge a holiday in my house, and yeah, our tree is pretty tiny, but we don't do the extended family thing so it's just the four of us and a huge tree seemed a bit of a waste. Yours looks great though!

Thanks. About two years ago my mom found that tree in some department store. Our cats jump in it, so some of the branches are all torn and bent down. I like it, too, though. It's nice; it comes pre-lit, with all the lights wound through the branches and all you have to do is set the sections up.

Mmmm. Merry Christmas to me. I totally got the digital camera. Excellent.
This is my camera. /me snuggles her camera. ![]() As for my tree...or..the one that had presents under it... I know it's totally blurry...I think I was like...sitting down from a standing position when I took it. The other pictures I've taken have been spectacular. The tree after the unwrapping frenzy this morning/afternoon/early evening And the second tree We turned the lights off after we saw the huge fire on the house one street away. The smaller tree...well, I went out with my friend Alan to buy a Christmas tree because he had a truck and when we got it home, there wasn't enough room in the trunk to get it secure in the stand, so we sawed off a couple of branches, and by the time we finally got it up, it was considerably shorter than it was supposed to be. My mom...well...we're a bit tree-neurotic around here. My mom made my sister go out and they got that HUGE tree, which also has big gaps in it that maybe used to be homes to bears and squirrels before it was cut down...it's insane. Anyway...yeah, two trees. It's crazy But, my camera...it is awesome. Mmmm...digital camera |

I'd like to see pictures of this Christmas Clothes Horse. Incredibly unique addition to the thread I think.

I'm too busy putting songs on my iPod to take a pic of our tree, but it isn't that cool anyways. We had to get one of those small, fake trees because my cat would eat a real one, and my mom took all of the ornaments when my parents got divorced, lol, so our tree has a string of lights, some ornament bulbs, and one of those reindeer things from Jack 'n' the Box. It's seriously sad, but oh well.
