Yes, I've wondered about all those things. Pretty interesting, meng. I don't know what to say as a reply, except this:

are we going to get any possible answers or theories? or is it just going to be a "because i've also wondered" type of thing?

I have some what answered some of these questions in the Atlantis thread ,but people have a hard time accepting theories that aren???t yet proven by science.

Some of the above:
why we humans use only about 10% of our massively supercharged brains? Because we can't use the other 90% - it's only there for cusioning, protection and chemical production. This is like saying that you're surprised that a car only uses 10% of it's weight to generate power. Yes, because that's what the engine bleedin' weighs. It is terribly misguided to believe that every part of the brain can be used for thought. why we humans have a gene pool with over 4000 genetic defects? while our closest genetic relatives, chimps and gorillas, have very few? I would say this is because humans are the only species to have moved purposely and successfully away from their natural environment. Our technology and ability lets us survive in places hostile to the human of 10,000 years ago. When you put this kind of strain on a global species, you're going to pick up a few flaws in the genome on the way. Nature of the business, so to speak. why our skin is so poorly adapted to the amount of sunlight striking Earth? Is it? I can sit out in the British sun all day without much happening. Similarly, a dark negro can sit out in the African savannah all day and suffer no ill effect. I'd say that geographically according to race that humans are perfectly suited to weather Earth's insolation. why we are so physically weak compared to our closest genetic relatives? Because we have televisions, the internet, pizza delivery and enormous brains with which to be dextrous and adaptable. Ever since proto-humans started eating meat to feed their expanding brains, we started to achieve dominance through means other than pure muscular strength. We weren't too weak before Austroplopithicus started getting clever. why Earth is minus a huge part of its crust, the part where the oceans are? In terms of the total crust of the Earth, it's not really missing much more than a scratch on the skin of an apple. Parts of the earth are not so much missing and having been relocated elsewhere by the movement of the plates... why Earth is the only planet or moon with moveable tectonic plates? Earth is the only planet on which we have discovered tectonic plates because we haven't really looked very hard anywhere else. We believe Mars has tectonic plates even though it is no longer geologically active. All of the other rock planets, including most of the moons of Saturn and Jupiter are all quite likely to also have active tectonic movement. why Earth’s moon is so extraordinarily outsized relative to other moons? Probably because Earth was just unlucky in the gamble of solar system formation. We believe Earth was struck by an object around the size of Mars during it's formation. This shattered both the smaller object and the Earth's crust (see plate tectonics!) to form the moon with the debris left behind. It's just chance. why megalithic structures like the Pyramids cannot be duplicated today? Because governments won't spend the money and assign hundreds of years of manpower to build them when they're only in power for Four years and would rather spend the taxes on healthcare. This was different in the times of the Pharoahs. why stones in those structures would buckle today’s largest moveable cranes? This isn't actually true. With enough power they could be manipulated. The Egyptians used THOUSANDS of men at a time to move them. It's not rocket science. We don't have a requirement to move things like that now, so we dont build cranes capable. Easy. how the ancient Sumerians knew all about Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto? While the Sumerians had good astronomical knowledge, they miscounted many objects as being planets. They regarded the Sun and Moon as two planets in their own right and other transient objects to boot. They did not know about the three outer planets, neither did they have the mathematical clout to caluculate these emphemera. how and why the Sumerians kept cosmic time in units of almost 26,000 years? This is just fanciful extrapolation of the manner in which the Sumerian mathematical system operated. They simply counted things in multiples of 60, of which 26,000 is roughly a factor of. So while the figure 26,000 would be a fundemental block of Sumerian counting, nobody ever said they measured cosmological time with it. |

why megalithic structures like the Pyramids cannot be duplicated today?
The answer to this is that we can duplicate it. In fact I believe not long ago an archaeologist got together a team and they did create a pyramid to show that it could in fact be done. This pyramid of course wan't as large as the Egyptian pyramids because the archaeologist didn't have thousands of people at his disposal, but he simply wanted to show that man power can do a lot more than people realize. So if he managed to build a small pyramid with a small group than it stands to reason that you could build a large pyramid if you had a large group of people working on it.

...and we can duplicate them with much lighter, easier to work with, materials. There is no need to build incredibly heavy, monolithic structures. The ancient Sumerians weren't capable of building structures that stood thousands of feet tall and were habitable.

Actually the team of archaeologists that built this modern pyramid built it with the same tools and equipment that the Egyptians probably used. They chiseled rock into large blocks of stone and then dragged them with ropes to their building site.

I stopped reading after the first one.
Not being able to use 90% of our brains is a stupid urban legend, research using brain imaging easily debunked this. The rest of these so called "facts" seem a bit wonky, also. |

Have You Ever Wondered...?
. . . why certain members use only about 3% of our massively supercharged brains? . . . why idiot-savants somehow can't access parts of the User CP and use none animated avatars? . . . why we members have a pool with over 4000 cubic metres of purified water? . . . why our closest genetic relatives, Jacoby's and Haz's, have very few? . . . why we humans have jeans that are only 200,000 to 250,000 years old? . . . why anarchists insist that we descend from creatures who werent civilised? . . . why we humans in no way resemble those ancient so called “Wood Elves”? . . . why we humans have 23 pairs of Shoes for a grand total of 46 Clogs on the scale? . . . why our closest genetic relatives (sharing 98% - 99% of our DNA) total 48? Those bastards have more shoes! . . . how we humans could lose 3 whole bananas in only 250,000 nano seconds? . . . why our skin is so poorly adapted to the amount of moisturiser crap we put on it? . . . why we are so physically weak compared to our closest genetic relatives, Jocks? . . . why Earth is minus a huge part of its crust, does it not like curly hair? . . . why Earth is the only planet or moon with moveable windscreen wipers? . . . why Earth’s moon is so extraordinarily near us relative to other moons? . . . why megalithic structures like the Beatles cannot be duplicated today? . . . why The Stones would buckle today’s largest moveable charts? . . . how the ancient Sumerians knew all about your anus? . . . why I found your anus only in 1781 it smells a mile off? . . . how and why the sheep kept cosmic time in units of almost 26,000 years?
