To answer the question about why there are humans in areas where there are apes. Some scientists think the reason this is is because the apes that evolved into humans moved out away from the jungles but then millions of years later once they had evolved for some reason they began to move back into their original environments and settle there.

We aren't all at the same stage in the evolutionary cycle. Why would each and every species evolve at the same speed? Its absurd because its all dependent on both micro and macro environmental conditions. Whose to say they won't evolve and develop into a higher species?
