Anyone using Mozilla's Firefox?
I had heard about this on another forum, and have been having problems with Microsoft Internet Explorer, so I thought I'd give it a try.
It rocks. No more popups. No more hijacking of my browser through MSN's arse. Beautiful. I can even see the animated smilies for the first time. It's a blue flashing light...I just thought it was a blue fez.

I am slow on the uptake, but I am really impressed.
Have you experienced any problems?

I use it too since 0.7 came out , I think.
There is nothing to complain about in my case. In addition , it has been recommended by a lot of "specialists" or magazines concerned with PC matters. If I am not too wrong , most so-called hackers presuppose that you are using Internet Explorer , so running another browser at home is already an advantage.

The only problems I had were due to Java, but once the latest Java Platform was downloaded it was fine. http://java.sun.com/downloads/index.html
I don't obviously speak for everyone though |

Hey Poggs, which one do you download on the java thing? I've been using Firefox but the java is messed. Other than that I love it.

I personally just downloaded the Standard Edition, but I'm not an expert on these things really, but should still do the trick.

Firefox is absolutely beautiful.
I've used it for about six months now and will NEVER use Internet Explorer again. Mozilla is superior in absolutely every way. |

It has completely changed my internet experience. There are so many features on this site alone that I have never seen while using IE. :Hail: Firefox!

I've had it for 3 months on my computer downstairs, but I haven't gotten around to installing it on the family PC.

Firefox, hands down. The multiple-tabs and the visible bookmarks (right below the address bar) make it much easier. Hail Firefox.

Been using it for about a year. Only had one problem when it freaked and lost my profile and all my bookmarks and stuff, but no biggie.
I'm trying to get everyone to use it. And according to the website, Firefox 1.0 is due out tomorrow. Lovely. |

Apparently it's slower for some users. It does seem that sometimes, but really, a few milliseconds doesn't make much of a diff. Agree with everyone else, been using most of the time after I joined KKW.

Hm, was just informed by a friend that I apparently had the beta version of Firefox or something, not the newest one, so just a reminder for anyone silly enough like me not to know of an update, apparently there is one. Only difference I found so far is the "Find" function now appears at bottom of window as a toolbar.
