I LOVE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO! I was obsessed through the first and second one....cannot wait for the third one!

Surprize - Ian McEwan is one of my all-time favorite authors. You have to hold out until the end though....the endings are always some amazing twist or revelation. "Amsterdam" wasn't my favorite of his; my favorite is definitely "Atonement." Other good ones by him are "Saturday," "On Chesil Beach," and "The Daydreamer."

I'm currently reading "Dark Star Safari: Overland From Cairo to Cape Town" by Paul Theroux. It's okay, I'm finding it really difficult to get into, but I'm also finding it really difficult to find time to read.

Just read Child of God by Cormac McCarthy... twice... for my Myths of the Modern South class. It's a quaint little story of a dispossessed outcast who roams the hills of Tennessee committing arson, murder and necrophilia. In fact, this book contains the holy trinity of aberrant sexual behavior: pedophilia, incest and necrophilia. Score! Now I have to write a 1,000 - 2,000 word paper on how the elements of the Southern Grotesque are employed in the novel.

Yesterday started The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I think he's on my top of modern writers.

How curious, I'm halfway through Altered Carbon myself. Cracking bit of sci-fi noir.

I just finished All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque and Pride and Prejudice.

Scott pilgrim's finest hour: It is a short but rewarding read that really ties off the series. I highly suggest it to all who have not read or heard of it. But please start with his precious little life.

Song for Arbonne: A masterpiece, very well written with a brilliant story.

Why not, they're remaking everything else. I mean Karate Kid? Seriously?!
