The Beautiful and the Damned
I was recently verbally abused by Hollysince1985 for not informing her that this was going on...however, I had no clue...I don't follow KK's career developments. I have novels to analyze and expository papers to write.
But--imdb.com lists that KK has been cast as Zelda Sayre later Fitzgerald, the mentally unstable wife of celebrated American author F. Scott who coined the term 'the Jazz Age' for the 20s. There is no mention about who will play Fitzgerald. So, looks like it is another period piece for Knightley...my only question is: Does she plan to put on weight? As you can see, Zelda had ample rump. |

Oh Zelda wasn't that fat!
... but I am excited to see this movie and hear Keira with an American accent. I love her in period films to be honest. |

Oh for the love of God, not another bloody period piece. Keira's career is now officially over; she's typecast, and not even particularly good at it.

I liked her better when she was kicking footballs around.

I liked her better in The Hole. And no, not because she flashed her tits; they were rubbish.

I generally advocate taking a pictures-only approach to admiring the lady; on account of her depressingly wooden acting.

To be fair, when you think of Keira, "wood" tends to "spring" to mind.

I'm excited about this idea! When we had to read Great Gatsby in school, I remember being more interested in the story of F. Scott and Zelda.
And she's not *that* horrible of an actress, though I, too, preferred her "kicking footballs around." |

She's not. She just has to stop doing so many bloody period pieces. Not only is it making her typecast, but she's shit at it. She should do a broader range, that way she can do stuff she's actually good at.
