I watched My Blueberry Nights...not bad, BUT--the director was trying too hard to make an indie film with an A-list cast.
Norah Jones was sorta dazed--I'm not sure if I would tell anyone to watch this film...but I loved Natalie Portman...hahah. |

Lately...
Driving Miss Daisy (1989) -- A very warm movie. I can't believe it took me this long to see it. The Others (2001) -- Good. I'm not crazy about it, but I'm pretty sure I understand the twist at the end. The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) -- Classic Bogart. One of John Huston's best. One of the most perfectly constructed movies I've ever come across. Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942) -- Like Humphrey Bogart in TTOTSM, for anyone who only believed that James Cagney was good at playing gangsters probably have not seen this Warner Bros. masterpiece. So inspiring, so American. The Adventures of Robin Hood (1937) -- This is the second time I've seen this movie and I just can't get into it. I don't like Robin Hood at all, and the Technicolor isn't enough to spark any interest in the story.

I've seen a lot of movies recently, if to consider that I haven't posted in this thread for a while. What comes to my mind are Milk which I saw in original and I loved it so much especially his famous speeches and, sure, one of ideas of the film is justice, that's why I note Milk to my favorites. Then, G-Force. To be honest, I expected something much cooler, it's a movie to watch and forget the next day... Ella Enchanted. Laughing out loud. It. Was. (Almost). Terrible. And here we can see that Ann Hathaway is making progress if to compare this peformance with the one in Rachel Getting Married. Btw, she looked very funny and interesting with a black eye, lol.

There Will Be Blood.
And now I'm watching Days of Wine and Roses. Both are very optimistic. |

"The She-Beast"
Deadlier than Dracula! Wilder Than The Werewolf! More Frightening Than Frankenstein! Fun stuff reissued from the '60s. Italian Horror Classic made for $37k back in 61 or so by a 21 year old guy.

As we have quarantine in our country, I have a lot of time, I'm really bored. Last two movies I've seen are both rom coms: The Ugly Truth and The Proposal. I liked the last one better, the first is a bit indecent, lol

I loved "The Interpreter". It was the first Sean Penn movie that I liked him in. And it was the reason I finally watched "Mystic River." He was good in it also, but I didn't like his character. Of course that was what was supposed to happen.
