average 19.5 fps
maximum (excluding fmvs) 228 fps

edit: heh, in a moment of clarity I just noticed it still logs fps even when the main menu is up. that could account for it... my bad

PC gamers confuse me....
I feel threatened by them, as they deal in a medium far too complicated for my inferior mind to comprehend. I'll stick to my simple stand-alone consoles.

The console is a wonderful thing.

Players on consoles have the same hardware and more or less the same means of interfacing with the hardware, meaning that effectively nobody has an advantage. Online with PC gaming, the player with the better frame rates, internet connection and associated e-peen usually wins.

Of course, console gamers cant use the mouse and keyboard combo. Fail.

Me and my Halo 2 clan a few years back beat a group of surly airmen who used mouses and keyboards on their Xbox. Granted, they could turn faster then us, but it's nothing without proper communication and teamwork.

I don't have a problem with keyboard/mouse combo for consoles, I just choose to play the game as it's meant to be played-with a controller.

Ice, theirs a mouse/joystick combo for the PS3, think it's called the fragfest GX or something of that nature. Anywho, someone used it to get ranked #1 in CoD4, so apparently it's very well built.

Picked up COD4.

Never seen a game that gives you the sense of terror and confusion in firefight as well as this game does.

Though a tad on the short side, CoD4's single player is intense. I followed this game in vids and previews since the summer, but nothing prepared me for how intense and visceral the game is. I felt like an addict after each level, hands twitchy, sweaty, deep breaths...then dove right back in for another fix.

You get UT3 yet, Liam?

Nah the Aussie release isnt until next Friday (30th), but I have it on preorder and I'll pick it up after work on release day.

Then I'll load up on red bull and play it all night.

There's nothing quite as cool as hearing the announcer say "headshot" "denied" "rampage" "double kill" in quick succession from a single kill

Team Fortress 2 is the first and only proper online multiplayer game I have ever played and I already believe it to be the best ever made. XD
The best £16.99 I've ever spent.

Nope, actually just got it by itself for PC.
I have played Portal too and I agree it's awesome but still, just single player. As is Half-life I think.
