heh, I first read that as "You're Sick"

I personally never bother using [sic], I always assume the quotation marks sum up that thats exactly what they said.

[sic] is for works in print, so they know that you didn't fuck up your typing or spelling. That way, you can quote typo stuff without looking like an eejit. Happens a lot with slightly older books, where money prevented publishers from rushing to bring out a new edition to get rid of the typo.

Old habits die hard. During my degrees I was taught to put [sic] into quotes with typing errors.

Yeah, I had to put into any errors. Lawyers are very particular about stuff like that.

1. I love her sense of humour...but I naturally adore British humour...so basically whot inside her head...is always surprising

2. Well the first thing I noticed was the looks obviously...stunning
3. The talent...God she's gown up brilliantly in acting since Bend it Loke Beckham...haven't sene Atonement yet but from whot I have seen...OMG (not to mention that is my favorite book)! I was crying by the trailer for crying out loud!!!

But you know...I could go on and on...

There is no such thing as a "British accent". For the love of God would people stop saying crap like that?! First of all "Britain" is three (Northern Ireland is part of the "United Kingdom" but not Britain) separate countries (England, Wales and Scotland) and all three have VERY different accents.

In amongst those there are some very strong regional accents, particularly in England. Ice, for example, sounds nothing like I do. He's from the Midlands where they all sound like they shag their cousins (because they do). Whereas I have a home counties accent (apparently).
