this is MY thread, i'll post w/e in it... whcih will most liekly be my art work, and whatever is on my mind. They'll be more bitching, I dont like taking out my angery on other people, so this'll be where i vent myself.

I've got an idea for a new story/script to write. I woke up with it one morning and laid in my bed for an hour until i visualized the whole story.


heres the idea:

• It's going to start off with a love scene, of the couple, they descuss their future and say their 'promises' to eacher other.
  
  reason why: The boyfriend's going to be shipped off to fight in a war.
  
  After the boyfriend leaves, the girlfriends finds out she's pregnant. She has no one and nothing, but a house to help her. But neighbors try to help her out.
  
  after the girlfriend has her baby(a boy), she is told that her man has been killed by an explosion and theirs no way to find his body.
  
  Years later this gentalman who works at a grocery store, meets her and tries to help her out.
  
  They later begin to have an affair.
  
  One day when girlfriend and new guy walk in her house, her boyfriend, lost from war, is sitting in the kitchen.
  
  -all hell breaks loose-

What do you think?

It sounds a little bit like the love story in Pearl Harbour. That said, you may be able to develop it in such a way that it doesn't echo the movie so much.

i've never seen Pearl Harbor.. Im not much of a Ben Affleck / Josh Hartnet fan.

I have to really really work on improving this story. i should probably watch Pearl Harbor and make sure i dont add the same things.


I'm debating if the could should be married or not. Alls I know is that I want them to be young people. Younger people are immature and do more stupid things.

Not sure if i want then to be 18-20year olds, or 21-26year olds.

It's just like what you wrote, only the girl is pregnant when her boyfriend comes back (with his best friend's child). Then in the end, the guy who got her pregnant dies, and she and her original boyfriend are together.

Who cares if they're similar, you just gotta write it anyway. Almost every movie idea can be compared to a different movie that's already been made, you just gotta stick with your idea.

Anyways, what would the bulk of the movie be, Jen? Cus I would like to see that especially if the "all hell breaks lose" part is at least half the movie.

I'm trying to figure out how old i want the little boy to be, AND the reason why it look the boyfriend so long to get home.

After Explosion:

• blind (few months)
• amnesia (year or two... or three)
• Paralyzed (takes him 5 years to relearn how to walk)

do you think that's that too easy??



I want him to be irritable, selfish, possessive, and not a loving person AT ALL, in the very end.... i kind of want him to be slightly burned, too. Maybe on his back, or one hand/arm or something. I don't want it to be TOO dramatic with the scars. I want him to look like a strong surviver, not a cripple.

I also don't want the son to like him from the start. Some (young) Kids can always tell whose a good person and who not... if they're not manipulated by something.

It depends on where the war took place. You can put it somewhere in Asia or Africa...and you can say the guy was "adopted" by a local tribe , he attached to them , and one night he had a dream about his earlier life, started to miss it and decided to get back.
(Just an idea)

lol i havent even decided if i want to put him in a real war or a fictional. Either way i have no knoweledge of wars and what soldiers do, besides scream and kill each other.
