No...I mean...Zhivago...Pride...this...that's not a lot.

She's English. She's got that English Rose quality. She's got to be careful. An American doesn't have to watch for that sort of thing but SHE does or she'll end up another Emma Thompson.

Trust in Haz, although it may not seem like it, everything I say makes sense. She needs to STOP period pieces altogether for at least another 5 films.

English roses are the shit, though. So to speak...

In truth, I'd love to see her be the next Helena Bonham Carter (minus the apes).

But really, I'd like to see her in every of respectable film genre there is. I want to see her do it all.

I agree. I don't think she has overstepped the mark yet, but she does need to be careful. With several period films behind her and several more on the horizon, it would be good for her to take a break, as so frequently suggested. She always speaks in interviews of her hatred for people who judge her and wanting to be a different person every day. Don't get me wrong, I actually like her in period pieces, but for her own sake she needs to take a time out.

I like the futureama idea, though.

The usually-reliable Daily Mail showbiz reporter Baz Bamigboye states in his column today that Keira is confirmed for the role of Vera Phillips, friend of poet Dylan Thomas, in The Best Time Of Our Lives, and that filming will start in April, rather than January as originally reported. The director Mike Radford is also apparently out, replaced by John Maybury, who directed Keira in The Jacket. The screenplay is by Keira's mum Sharman Macdonald, and tells the story of the events leading up to a shooting and threatened grenade attack on the Thomas home by family friend William Killick.
