I don't know where boxing day came from, but it's just the day after Christmas day. Its basically just another day to doss around and go to watch the footie.

Poor Jacoby, you're missing out a lot. Boxing day is when all the prices are reduced (or "reduced" thereby fooling shoppers into thinking it's cheaper), when Australia canes a country in the Boxing Test match in cricket at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and its also when most people unwrap their presents. How utterly awesome.

Shirts. Lots of shirts. A wallet (with no money). A book about the myths and legends of the British Isles. Toenail clippers from grandma.

The best was a picture of my daughter with Santa, in a frame that says Daddy's Little Princess. She made a haul. Christmas was spread out over a week for her. Tough gig, eh?
My car got $700 worth of repairs. Merry Christmas car. It repaid my generosity by not breaking down on my trek to the ATL.

Hmm.

A glorious digital camera (which was a birthday/Christmas present from my mom and dad), three really nice sweaters, a hair straightener, a bottle of perfume, two books (One by Bill Bryson, and one by Michael Chabon), two pairs of pajama pants, 2 Wilco cds (I've been listening to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot constantly), and an fm radio transmitter that I can use in the car to play songs from my iRiver.

That's it for now. Which sounds totally spoiled, but my parents are divorced, so all that was from Christmas with my mom. I'm in Washington DC now for Christmas time with my dad, though he's not getting me much after paying with my mom for the camera.
