The New World Of Age Rating AH!

God sake i'm sick and tired of films coming out nowadays with a stupid age
ratings. For example i heard that the new alien vs predator film was a pg-13 (12A) what the hell is up with that and there is no way in gods green earth terminator 3 was a 12A.

This *bs* new rating with got in the uk 12A is just another way of making MONEY!!!!! "i know we could make the film really good" but NO were cut all that out make it lame, drop it to a 12A so we can make more MONEY!!!! AH! so i'm sorry in the future it looks like anyone will be able to go and see anything at the cinema

I tend to ignore the ratings. I don't really think a movie is going to just become bad if they shoot for a PG-13 or 12A rating. There are some really good movies that have been rated PG-13 that would have been just as good rated R, and there have been some horrible rated R movies that would have been just as bad rated PG-13.

Are most of the movie theaters you guys go to really that strict on the rating system? My movie theater IDs, but I never thought of it as that serious.

It doesn't bother me in the slightest. I can get into 18s so I don't care.

yeah the movie theaters i go to are crap. the ticket people see people sneaking in through the exit door and going into movies and they dont do anything about it but they care to card poeple when they look young

sorry, but in the UK, T3 was a PG-13 rating? now that is funny, since it was still rated R over in the states.

...Anyway, what I ment to say is that is there ever going to be a rating between 12 and 15 in the UK? someone should protest.

There's no such thing as PG-13 in the UK.

Why should people protest for a rating between 12 and 15? Our system is fine the way it is.

oops, my fault, sarah, It's been 5 years since I've been to England, I forgot what the ratings were over there.

Also, the people who don't like the ratings are the ones who don't like our movies edited out for content(me included).
