I find the Late Republican-Early Imperial period of Ancient Roman history, as well as the European theatre of WWII, esp. 1944 to be fascinating. I find textbooks to be both pooring, as well as pockmarked with historical innacuracies and omissions. It sickens me that no one knows who Lucius Junius Brutus, Lucius Cornelia Sulla Felix, Gauis Marius, Marcus Portius Cato the younger, Gauis Julius Caesar, Marcus Antonius, Marcus Lepidus or even Augustus or Tiberius were.
Does anyone other than me know the difference between Lucius Junius Brutus and Marcus Junius Brutus?
I believe that whatever doesn't kill you simply...makes you...stranger.
