I just watched the Jacket yesterday. I disagree with most of you. I really liked the movie. Watched it with mum, we both really liked it. I didn't find it boring, I thought it was really interesting. And I know I'm no specialist in American accents, and yes I could hear her english accent come through still I applaud Keira's efforts in attempting the accent. I do like the way her voice was lower though. It was a good movie in my opinion. Adrien Brody's a great actor.... that is how you spell his name right? *shrugs* oh well.
I kind of agree. My pretty eclectic taste in films (well, pretty much everything) and the fact that I'm a nerd has given me an appreciation for arty, film noir, type films - this one included. I can understand why it's unpopular with a lot of people, but I still found it interesting. And I liked the fact that you could argue the entire film was in his head. Hmm.
