I believe you mean heart disease as heart cancer is INCREDIBLY rare. Linking heart disease to smoking has proven inconclusive. Lung cancer isn't CAUSED by smoking, merely made worse. Your figures are WHOLY inaccurate if you're looking at the effects of smoking.
That said I agree about smoking around other people, especially children. I never smoke near a child, and if I'm on the street and I see a couple with a pram coming by me, I'll stop smoking and move as far away as I can to let them go past. Tis only right after all.
