I don't know about "out of her depth". Stewart's question about "why don't people like us?" was a pretty obvious attempt at getting her to bash the administration. She sidestepped the question pretty well with "you don't swear enough."
I've watched David Letterman turn into a 13 year old school-boy in the presence of beautiful women...trust me...he was smitten.
