Ok... let's discuss this.

I thought Underworld was rich in style. Compared to some other recent Vampire/Werewolf films that have graced the cinema in the past decade, this one ranks superior.

The special effects are some of the best I've seen in a low-budget film like this, as practical effects are concerned - I was impressed and barely noticed any flaws. Everything about this film was pretty decent and the werewolf transformations are the best I've seen since American Werewolf in London (or if you want to get picky, An American Werewolf in Paris.)

The director, Len Wiseman, I'm not too familar with. For a guy who only directed music videos prior to Underworld, he did above par - definitely good for his directorial debut. As for the acting, well... who doesn't like Kate Beckinsale, nonetheless in leather. I hope to God I'm not the only one who feels this way about the film, though I have a gut feeling I'm about to get trashed, I thought this was a cool movie. Definitely money's worth, or at least a rental. The rating: 8/10.

joking aside, I thougt Underworld was a great movie. Good cast(Kate Beckinsale, she's hot), good special effects, and overall good story. The werewolves were ok, seeing that I saw Van Helsing(which is now the new benchmark in monster-comparing special effects). I enjoyed the plot, and in the end, I liked how what's his face became a hybrid. See this movie if you haven't already.

I liked this movie. I watched it with the attitude "if nothing else... I get to look at Kate Beckinsale in tight leather," and I ended up enjoying the movie. Good plot, fairly good acting. Overall, I would give it a 7.5/10.

I only saw part of it last week. I think it is coming on HBO tonight so I might try to watch the rest of it.

Regardless Kate Beckinsale gothed uped was really hot from what I saw.

I loved the movie and I really like Kate Beckinsale. I love vampire movies and I love movies with kickass female leads (with the exception of Van Helsing - that was just retarded). I can't wait for the 2nd and 3rd Underworld.

I guess the plot was OK, but I don't really like vampire movies, nor movies where its near total darkness. The sounds was mainly just stuff clanking around dark tunnels, with the occasional splash, some rain splashing, some thunder, and some more splashing as people rolled around the mud and water (near the ending of the movie). I thought the only thing that propped it up for me was Kate.

After watching it last night, Underworld ties with Blade for best Vampire movie ever.

Just watched it, and I thought it was excellent! Best vampire/werewolf film I've seen. Thought the CGI was cool, and Kate Beckinsale was fabby. Swear I've seen that Michael Sheen in something else, he was good. And Bill Nighy, how can you not like him, he was great.

I'd give it 8/10 - great stuff!

I was dissapointed with the film. Kate Beckinsale is incredibly hot, that would be the only reason I'd ever watch it again. I'd seen all the action before in other movies, the plot was fairly predictable, and the CG was pretty sad in some spots.

Yeah, I was dissapointed in the look of the werewolves, especially since I saw Van Helsing first.

ChocolateMoose....Michael Sheen and Kate Beckinsale were together for 4 or 5 years, and he is the father of her daughter, Lily. He was just in Laws of Attraction with Julianne Moore and Pierce Brosnan.

What's his face = Scott Speedman. :) Former WB show...

Kate still questions yourself that Len probably only married her because she was in that leather suit. She claims she still keeps it around just in case.

Oh I'm sorry, for those who don't know, Len Wiseman and Kate married months ago.

Thanks, Richard, I knew I saw him before. He really didn't do that bad of a job in the movie, I enjoyed his acting.

I liked "Underworld". Any film that has Kate Beckinsale running around in skin tight outfits gets my vote ^_^!
