I am very bisexual (I tend to date more women than men). I have dated many women throughout my life. A couple of my friends decided that I needed to get back out and into the swing of things so they invited me to the local lesbian bar. I used to be a regular there, so I went. I have to say...I felt great being there. Are there any other L/G/B/T members out there, and, what has been your experience?

I understand that not all members support the LGBT community and I would ask that if you are unable to respond in a manner that is mature, with prudence, and without judgment that you not post at all. I know that some of you think that LGBT folk are going to hell but I just don't want to hear about it.

Hermaphrodites are pretty rare now...unless you unluckily happen to live in a Third World Nation. Nowadays, the condition is treated shortly after birth, with the parents choosing which sex they want the child to grow up to be...based on many tests and the doctors diagnosis and suggested medical interventions. So, unless you plan on moving to the Middle East, India, Africa, parts of Central America, South Africa or certain Asian nations, this question is moot. Moot, but interesting, in a Princess – weird sort of way ;)

When I call my friend "Uncle Celia" (an uncle is the butch one in the relationship apparently) she calls me "Dinky Dyke"
for anyone not familiar with Aussie sayings, its a play on "Dinky Di" which means Genuine

i dont think jamie curtis is a hermaphrodite, i believe she has chromasomal genetic disorder- in with she only has one sex chromosome and X. the other is missing, designated O. Called turner syndrome. Women with this condition have some male characteristics physically, like underdeveloped breasts and ovaries and are sterile. i think that is what Curtis has. although she has children i thought? adopted?

Actually, the whole 'Jamie Lee Curtis is a hermaphrodite' story is nothing but a Hollywood urban legend that's been making the rounds for about ten years now (even my uncle, who is a pretty well-known and respected anesthesiologist down here says that he knows people in the business -- medicine -- that simply swear it is true). However, the reality of it is that there is absolutely no merit to this rumor what-so-ever.

I suggest some of you read the book Urban Legends by Richard Roeper. Great insight to some of the most, well, legendary Hollywood myths around.

But, to stay on-topic. I'm not gay, nor am I bi-sexual. Bi-curious? Now that's a different story ... I think. No, seriously. I think I'm past that stage. Someone (a guy!) once told me that, deep down inside, all girls were bi-sexual. Haha. He wishes. :p

but i went to a gay bar once, i swear i didn't know. there were just as many chicks in there as there were guys. it took about an entire 3 minutes to figure it out before we decided to make a mochary of ourselves infront of all the gay people and then we left before we could say we got beat up by homosexuals.

i have nothing against homesexuals, my uncle is one and he is one of the coolest guys in the world. i just wish he wouldn't bring uncle steve home with him when he comes to visit. gross.
