Artbook: Mandy
I'm posting any and all art I've got here including drawing, wallpapers, and any photography I have...
I posted these in my portfolio, but I'd like to know what you guys think ;) My older brother when he was 3: Aww From Star Wars: (Obi-Wan Kenobi) With a lightsaber Just a quick sketch From my Orlando Bloom obsession phase: (SO glad that's over) Orlando1 Orlando2 From POTC The coolest chica ever: Christina Aguilera and a color version of the last one: Colored with REAL make-up And my latest... The King of Pop: Michael Jackson And for anyone who liked Moulin Rouge: Christian Satine More to come...probably. Mandy |
The Michael Jackson one got me singing Billie Jean. That song rocks. Top job on all of them. I can't draw for anything so I have great respect for almost anyone with that talent. Can't wait to see more.

yeah, to bad MJ is a freak now... but he sure was the king then...
i am still a MJ fan... his music rox. |
Nice pictures. I must say I'd rather destroy my fingers with a bastard file than listen to MJ though. The man is a fucking fruit loop.

what did you do with it? only the text, or also colorcorrections... if so please post the original. |
Err...I didn't do anything to the photo itself besides make it larger...You can find the original at nataliportman.com (salutes the owners).
On a Natalie kick this week for some odd reason. I just finished this one, and thought it was decent...the shading still needs some work, though. http://members.lycos.co.uk/bumeyes/nat.jpg |
That's a really good drawing! The only thing is that, like you said, the shading needs some work, but besides that, great job!

Bump.
Been working on changing eye colour in photoshop. With mishka's permission, here's what I've been working on: Original: http://members.lycos.co.uk/bumeyes/n...cosmosmall.jpg W/ Blue Eyes: http://members.lycos.co.uk/bumeyes/mishkablueeyes.jpg Big difference... And anyone who's anybody knows that Natalie Portman has dark brown eyes. http://members.lycos.co.uk/bumeyes/smileblue.jpg http://members.lycos.co.uk/bumeyes/natblueeyes2.jpg Mandy |
It is amazing what difference your eye colour makes. Brilliant work, Mandy!
|
Mandy,
That drawing of Natalie Portman is fantastic.
|
The Natalie Portman drawing is excellent. It is detailed and the shadow on one side of her face gives it a solid dimension.
|
Just some random wallpapers I mucked around with....thought they came out nicely.

Black and white rules. I've always had a yen for black and white photography. There's something that's so wonderfully abstract about a simple b&w that no manner of bullshit "special processes" in color photography can yield. I love the vintage feel of your work.
I really need to get off my ass and find some (or, here's an idea...do some new) drawings and/or photographs to post. Very nice work. |
Some more I've been working on...

That picture is from the latest issue of Jane magazine. You can probably find it at Christina Connection
|
Have you done any more drawings like the Natalie Portman? I really liked that.
|
