KKW is moving!
 

After reaching the end of my tether with Serverseed following 40 hours of sustained downtime, not to mention weeks and months of appalling service and outages I have decided that it is time for KKW to move to a new host.

The move will be taking place over the next few days in the following stages:

1. www.keiraknightley.com redirected to new host.
2. Files moved.
3. Forums moved and restored on new server. (The forums will be closed for about one day while this is in progress)
4. Galleries reconfigured on new server. (Galleries may be offline for up to one week).
5. www.kkwavefront.org redirected to new host.

I hope this transition will be as smooth as possible over the next few days. Don't panic if things don't work quite as you expect in the coming week - we'll be back together in no time at all. Everything will be still be operation at kkwavefront.org until the last minute.

Right, well after a very long, tedious and complicated restore process the forums are back and working much as before! Many many thanks to Digital Ice for his tireless (and ultimately in vain) quest for restoration goodness! Dreamhost had to do it for us in the end due to technical problems.

The shoutbox is missing since it was incompatible with this new version of vbulletin; I hope to have that fixed soon.

The First Class and rank tags are also missing since some templates need to be modified. That will happen later this week.

Apart from that we're in good shape and ready to go. The rest of the website should be ready by Thursday!

Do we have to reupload our avatars or will they also be reconfigured on the new server in the coming week?

Re uploading our selves seems like a good idea to me, in that way only avatars of active members get uploaded.

tried sorting out avatars the other day... but its goin to be easier and quicker just to re-upload them.
