Men & Makeup?

Personally.. i love men in make-up.. especially eyeliner :D However, most men who wear it are obviously gay hehe..but i dont think it should stop straight men wearing it.. why women and not men?

Who thinks make up is acceptable for men?

xXx

duckula 18-07-2004 02:18 PM

It may be acceptable but it's not manly. Killing other people is manly.

KeirazBabe 18-07-2004 02:30 PM

Well evidently killing is wrong.. so therefore being manly is too?

Oooh. Think she's got you there Ducky mate :)

Actually...makeup on a guy? I wouldn't, but it's up to personal choice, isn't it? I use use an exfoliating face scrub, face wash, pre-shave, post-shave and moisturiser...but I draw the line at makeup.

eh i mean yeah on some guys its nice but it wouldnt be like something i would go for. if i saw some guy wandering about with eyeliner and some bronzer id assume he was gay. but i have been having a backlash to metrosexual men anyways

Pinkfairy 18-07-2004 04:14 PM

Some people have to wear make-up like actors.
Others like Beckham don't but some people don't think he's weird for it.
Personally, I don't think it's wrong, it's just not what people is used because it denotes vanity which is not a trait must men want to be associated with.

acliff 18-07-2004 05:14 PM

I'd personally never wear makeup.
Vanity objectified. Most men with makeup look like clowns on a day off.

I can understand why some people would wear it, but I mean, I saw a couple of men with french manicures. That is just.... extreme.
Some foundation perhaps, if you have terrible skin. I myself have beautiful skin, so nothing to hide... Besides plain faced ugliness :-D

Killing isn't wrong, it's just misunderstood.

men in eyeliner = studly.

Think Jonathan Rhyes Myers a la Velvet Goldmine.

Kyle_West 19-07-2004 12:58 AM

...

If your not an actor then guys dont wear make up. If I saw a guy wearing make up walking down the street I would chase him down beat him and his dog, and the take a piss in his gas tank then sprint home to watch Doctor Phil.

How about this:

yah, eyeliner and stuff is ok, as long as theyre going for a look, and not trying to look natural, but better and all pretty. Pretty boys get on my nerves very quickly. especially when they use up all my foundation! *grrr*

Kelsey 19-07-2004 02:36 AM

No way. Not only could I never be attracted to guys who wear makeup in their everyday lives, I could never take that person completely seriously either. Just a personal preference. My friend Jessie likes the guys in eyeliner, and actually put some on her boyfriend one time. I don't know; not my style though.

*sigh* if only I had a waist and stomach like Keiras...... :-P

Men in eyeliner disturb me. These new age 'guy's who pluck, blush, and iron with alarming diligence, and how women like them also disturbs me.
And pretty boys and those who act gay in order to get girls (deceptive bastards) deserve my fist and foot crashing through their layers of foundation.
