Groomed Men?
I think Queer EYe for the Straight Guy has been the saviour to the world lol... i dont think its correct women should be the only ones to take pride in the way they dress... wax their eyebrows etc etc.. i totally find men with back hair..bushy eyebrows.. etc etc absoltuely disgusting.. i think there should be a law that no mono-brows are allowed..ever! lol. But what do you all think? that men should be left as their natural, hairy, lazy state?:P or should they take advice from Queer Eye etc..

I like men without beard and a lot of hair on their face and chest and stuff.

Expecting men to be presentable is one thing but the feminisation of men is another. It smacks of crass commercialism and repressed lesbianism.

You love feminine men because you are either a lesbian in denial, a poor attempt at a bisexual or afraid of a real man.

Well you're out of the game then Duckula :P
So when do you want to go out Keirazbabe? ;) Queer eye for the straight guy is entertaining, but its just a money making scheme to capitalise on the metrosexual craze. I understand the whole 'why go for a guy who seemingly can't look after himself, when you can go for a guy who can, and do it snappily dressed' thing, but sometimes it gets a little silly. At uni, one of my former housemates used to spend about an hour and a half on his hair. He had industrial sized cans of hairspray, buckets of wax, hair dye, and a hairdryer which looks like it was taken out of the southampton uni wind tunnel. We all thought this was crazy, and a little bit gay. Then we saw how much attention he got in clubs, pubs and bars. Which was great for him, and envy all round. Except he had a metallic sky blue MG. That IS a little bit camp. |
Agree with Cliff's take on Queer Eye...entertaining and all but err...very much a money-making ploy.
To be fair I have begun to try and take a little better care of my appearance...I never saw the point, to be fair...me being an ugly git...I mean it's like renovating a really crappy piece of furniture. But a girl I know persuaded me to just do it, convinced me it couldn't hurt...figure I now look marginally less ugly...on a scale of 1-10, where before I was a 20 :p I'm now a 15 :D |

Then again, in my view it's a clear indication of being more manly if you can actually do something effeminate with complete comfort knowing that you ARE a man...that's my take on it anyway. I'd wear makeup if I was challenged to do it, only reason I don't is because I don't want to...not because of some societal norm or some concept of "manliness". I mean my sister challenged me to sit still while she painted my finger and toenails the other week...and I had to keep them for a couple of days...big deal! |

It's easy for me to say I'd wear makeup if asked, though, as I know I could never be mistaken for a woman anyway :p Too ugly by far :D |

When men are defined as 'pretty', that really takes away from their MQ.

...
First off the Queer eye guys should die for ruining the planet.
Second, Men should come home drink booze and scratch themselves. Bottom line. |
