Ich glaube du sollst Englisch nog mal probieren. Ich spreche es auch nicht so gut wie die Englische Leute, aber es ist und bleibt die KKW Sprache.

Die meisten Leute hier sprechen Englisch, obgleich viele es als zweite oder dritte Sprache verwenden. Ich bin traurig, daß Sie Probleme mit diesem gehabt haben. Leute kritisieren häufig, was sie nicht verstehen. Ich bin auch traurig, daß mein Deutsch so schrecklich ist!

I wish I'd paid better attention in German. I took two years in high school and another couple of semesters in college, and I can't remember much.
Ich habe keine idee.

Das ist okay. I took it all four years of high school (which I've only been out of for three years!) and I've still forgotten at least half of everything I'd learned. I used to be able to think in German, man. It was crazy.

I live on Germany's doorstep. Going there about once a month helps :) I understand it just fine, but I can't really speak it so well.

Ich konnte deutsch sprechen, aber leider habe ich meisten vergisst. Schade.
