Was ist Stoz oder Eitelkeit?
 

Man sollte keine Vorurteile über andere Menschen haben die man nicht kennt. Man sollte sie zuerst kennenlernen. Hier sieht man das wenn man z.B. nicht gut Englisch sprechen kann von der einen Hälfte kritisiert wird aber von der andern wieder wird man verstanden. Ich finde es gut das diese Leute dich akzeptieren so wie du nun mal bist auch mit deinen Fehlern. Vorurteile sind was schreckliches man sollte sie ja auch nicht haben. Genau so soll man ja nicht eitel sein, stolz darf man sein doch Eitelkeit wird von anderen Personen aufgezwungen. Der Stolz geht nur vom Menschen selber aus. Ich denke das will auch Jane Austen in ihrem Buch Pride & Prejudice den Menschen klarmachen.

Translation :

One ought not to have prejudices about people one is not acquainted with.

if, for instance, one´s English is not that satisfying and you therefore get
blamed by the one half of the members whereas the other half understands you.

This, in my opinion, is also what Jane Austin wants to convey in her book
"Pride and Prejudice".

Whatever the point of this is, I hope it is going to lead to a fruitful discussion.

Warum ist dieser thread nicht in English geschrieben? (pardon my bad grammar, and I don't know the word for thread)

I guess the starter was afraid to be critizised for his / her bad English, and tried some kind of analogy to the film P+P... Not sure though.
