Pity dating is so not cool. You've just got to let her down gently. You should only date her if you want to, not because you feel you should.

Screw her as friends.

Or, if you're not into that...just tell her you don't like her like that. Don't sacrifice days of your life and your feelings so that she is happy. It's nice of you to care, but there comes a point where you can't always worry about others.

Only go out with her if you think there might be a chance you could start to like her... like if maybe there's a little something there and maybe if you give her a chance, it could grow. But.. if there's nothing and there's no way on earth you'd ever see yourself as more than friends, dont do it.

Thanks for the advice. I had a word with her and explained I just see her as a friend and that I dont want to make both her and me unhappy by going out with her then one of us dumping the other because it wasn't 'working out'.
