with geocities you need to copy/paste the address into your browser for it to work

hm i don’t think so, geocities is a bit strict about bandwidth that’s why these sites are sometimes offline.

Geocities does not allow hot linking to images, but here we are talking about .html pages.

They're free, but there's limits on bandwith, image storage, and other crap. I used to use netfirms but...
