Does no one care about my art? Geez, I want some feedback here.

hasselbrad 15-09-2004 09:26 PM

I can't get the storehouse stuff to load in a timely manner, so I don't know what that looks like.
I like the hiking shots a lot. The first two could use more foreground or none at all. The small amount of foliage is a bit distracting. I really like the others from the group...especially the shot through the crevice in the rock. Very nice. Does that face east or west? If it does, go back and get some sunrises and sunsets.
The flower is a good example of narrow depth of field, but it's a touch out of focus. Very nice composition though.
What kind of camera are you using?
Sorry for not commenting sooner, but I hadn't seen this. Nice work.

Narzys 15-09-2004 09:38 PM

yes, some of the pics are a bit "gray". The flower is beautiful. Keep on keepin on!

The camera is a Casio QV-R40. Ha well with the storehouse pics, I can't see them either so I'll just edit and repost them. Thanks for the feedback though, brad and narzys.

Extra kudos for them being all done with a digital. It explains the slight out of focus. Autofocus will do that to you. Do you have access to a 35mm SLR?

Stormbringer 16-09-2004 01:01 PM

Nice photographs! You definitely have an eye for composition. The flower photograph is really gorgeous.

Unfortunately, no I don't. Sure would be nice though. I need to get a real camera.

Your really good I like sky pictures a lot. I take some myself actually but just for myself. I know this might sound a bit silly but I like to just look at the sky and dream away. Do you have some moore?

Louie 22-09-2004 07:40 PM

I did have some other sky ones, but I deleted them because they were bad. It's been raining every day here so I haven't been able to get out and take some more pics.

I love the sunset and the night sky.

Yes, I know, the trees are in the way. :icon_redf

hasselbrad 15-10-2004 02:42 PM

But, they aren't so distracting because they are pure sillouette. As before, very nice work.
