...or just good songs to drive to.
Are there certain songs that get you moving in a way that others don't. Are there songs more likely to make you drive faster, pedal harder or just pound on something?

All time for me is probably:

SWLABR Cream followed closely by Oh Well Fleetwood Mac

There are others, but I won't monopolize the thread... :)

Damn, I was just about to say that one.

My friend and I compiled a driving CD last summer and it was pretty nice. The best track on the album was definitely The Harlem GlobeTrotters theme song. The two whitest kids ever listening to the globetrotters song as loud as possible without any expressions on our faces. Good times. Now he's in college and I have to go get my own license..pfft..

ludacris - move bitch

My 3 favorite MCs all in one song...
Ludacris, Mystikal, and I-20

It's too bad that I-20 got the short verse again

"Two homies on the right track, keys to the white and black, hit the trunk grab the pump, pump and I'll be right back. We buyin bars out, sellin stars out."

ludacris - move bitch

:p

I said songs that pump you up...not make you feel all romantic and shit. :p

I'm kind of partial to When I Move You Move simply for the line...
..."my diamonds are reckless, feels like midget's hangin' from my necklace."

..."my diamonds are reckless, feels like midget's hangin' from my necklace."

Ludacris has many more terrific rhymes. Such as:

"I'm the new phenomenon, like white women with ass."

"I'm a dentist, making women open their mouth wide."

"Why do you think you take a ho to a hotel? Ho tell everybody, even the mayor, reach up into the sky and grab the ho-zone layer."

"Now there was 5 bad hoes and they looked like trash, but one was a midget, so we'll say four and a half."

Ludacris like to concentrate on hoes and midgets...

BTW- the song is called "Stand Up"

God Put a smile on your face-Coldplay

Yeah-Usher

Cold-Crossfade

Stupid Girl-Cold

Get it Started(wtf)-Black-Eyed Peas

All 4 of those make me push the speed limit beyond 20+

Like this morning, I was listening to Crossfade, and I saw my friend drive off the back gate from the base, going to work, about 10 seconds ahead of me. The speed limit right after passing the gate is 50, but I did 75, and caught up with him in 5 seconds. He did the same thing after school, though, so I'll repay the favor tommorow.

Rap blows, blows hard.

Let's see, When the Levee Breaks by Led Zeppelin is great, but the best driving (speeding) song ever has to be Tank! by Yoko Kanno and is the theme song to Cowboy Bebop. It's a kick-ass jazz/rock song that makes me drive fast and weave in and out of traffic. How good is it? Good enough for me to host for you guys. Download it now or die! (http://www.zanzabar.net/Tank.mp3)

Anything by Led Zeppelin, pretty much. Other songs that make driving more bearable for me ...

"Mr. Blue Sky" by ELO (my ULTIMATE "feel-good" song)

"Telephone Line" by ELO

"You Can Go Your Own Way" by Fleetwood Mac

"Magic Carpet Ride" by Steppenwolf

"Everlong" by the Foo Fighters

"Eight Days a Week" by the Beatles

So many more, but this is turning into a list of my "feel-good" songs. Sorry.

Anything NWA- Ice cube, Easy-E, Dr. Dre, and MC something. I dunno his name lol.

Various korean artists, pop and rock. I'll name them if you really want me to.

Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli- Modern opera

Various piano pieces and quartets--I'll not name them either unless you're really curious.

Micheal Jackson! Woot!

Opera and classical really help to calm me down and clear my thoughts, especially during high traffic times. Um, NWA? it's NWA, what can I say? Their lyrics make sense. I like them. Korean songs because it helps me with my pronounciation of the korean language. I'm still learning it. I hope to move to Japanese and French or Italian later.
